LBMS Science Researchers have demonstrated intense grit and dedication to their work, placing at various competitions and denoting our school as part of the winners circle for research!
Science Research is a rigorous course that challenges learners to engage in 21st century skills such as communication, collaboration, critical thinking and creativity. Select students created oral presentations, carried out scientific investigations, collected data, reviewed scientific literature and demonstrated statistical analysis of results. All for the finale, a chance to participate in the Long Island Science and Engineering Fair (LISEF) as well as the South Asian American Women's Association (SAAWA) where they will be judged by multiple experts in the field.
We are excited to announce the winners this year for the Science Fair Competition which each school across Long Island has an opportunity to participate in.
* Thea Olmstead and Noa Kaye received third place at LISEF and first place at SAAWA
* Nathaniel Nash, Troy Moriarty, Acacius Fischer received third place at SAAWA
* Sydney Olivo, Rylee Varian, and Victoria Sinnona received an honorable mention at SAAWA
Congratulations to ALL of our researchers!
