All the courses through the Long Beach High School Business Education Department have both academic and occupational benefits for students. Students have the ability to prepare for all of the phases of their personal and career lives by taking any of the courses offered. Among these benefits are:

Students will be better prepared to enter the job market upon graduation

Students may hold part-time jobs while attending high school or college that may provide career experience

Students will have the basic knowledge to major in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Law, Marketing, Management, or Sports Administration in College

Students will understand the impact of preparing for a career and not just holding a job

Students will learn what it takes to start a business and become a successful entrepreneur

Students will have the tools to improve their family life skills, ie. communication and financial decision making

Students will be better informed to make intelligent business and economic decisions as voters, consumers, and workers
