The district is proud to share that Lido School Principal Dr. Ivelisse Hernandez has been recognized as the New York Post's Hero of the Day (click to read). She was nominated by parents after initiating numerous programs and activities to help keep students connected during the school closure. In addition to supporting families through the transition to remote learning, she and the building's staff have taken many creative approaches in showing students that they are still all connected and part of a community, even while apart.
