Incoming Long Beach Pre-K and Kindergarten Families are invited to The Long Beach Pre-K & K Parent Academy event taking place on August 22 from 8:30 am - 10 am at Lido Elementary School. New families will be introduced to district programs, teachers, and administrators. Parents and caregivers will rotate through six stations: Routines & Readiness, Literacy, Numeracy, Science, Yoga, and Social-Emotional Learning. Teachers and administrators will discuss unique aspects of their curricular areas and include demonstrations and/or handouts, brochures, etc. A Long Beach Public Library representative will also be present to help families apply for library cards. Time will be provided for families to meet each other and ask questions. Space Limited, Registration Encouraged.
