Long Beach High School recently welcomed students to one of two College & Career Fairs, held in the school’s commons, over 40 post-secondary institutions and organizations gathered to connect with students and support their future planning.
The event featured a wide range of opportunities, including representatives from colleges and universities, branches of the military, and local organizations. Students also had the chance to speak directly with representatives from the City of Long Beach, who shared information about summer employment opportunities, as well as the district’s Internship Director, who provided guidance on experiential learning and career exploration. The fair served as an important opportunity for students to gain firsthand insight into college programs, career pathways, and workforce opportunities available to them after graduation.
The School Counseling Department continues to prioritize events like this to ensure all students are informed, prepared, and inspired as they plan for life beyond high school.
