As an employer in New York, we are required by law (12 NYCRR § 472.8) to provide certain information to our employees to help you complete the unemployment insurance benefits application. We are not experts on who will, and who will not qualify. Those decisions are made by New York State, not the school district. We do hope, however, that by providing this information, the process to apply will be a little smoother.
