Important Transportation Message for All Families
Dear Families,
As many of you know, there is a nationwide school bus driver shortage that is impacting our district transportation operation. We have been trying to adjust bus runs since the beginning of the school year to spread out the student bus loads but we are aware that some bus runs are still quite full. Even though we will continue to balance out the different bus runs where possible and add runs if we fill bus driver vacancies, we would like to ask parents to drive their children to and from school to reduce the ridership. It is likely that as the weather turns colder, more students may ride the bus and some of our staff may be out sick more often, which may exacerbate the current situation. In an effort to provide the safest travel for our students, we are asking for your assistance now. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at 897-2090.
