“The Stop Program”
Juniors and seniors of Harborfields High School recently took part in an interactive anti-drunk driving program known as “The Stop Program.” Deputy Sheriffs Tom Indence and Rich Baker of the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department shared information regarding the laws and consequences of driving under the influence.
Students were then offered the opportunity to participate in a simulated drunk-driving experience by wearing altered goggles and driving a buggy through a course of traffic cones that represented pedestrians.
