An Important Message from David Weiss, Superintendent of Schools
When school officials arrived at school this morning we learned of an email threat that came in overnight threatening danger to all of our buildings districtwide. Upon learning of this threat, we immediately contacted the Nassau County Police Department and the Long Beach Police Department. Both law enforcement agencies have determined that this is not a credible threat and there is no danger to our student and staff population.
The district is committed to the safety and well-being of our students and staff. As an extra precautionary measure, there will be an increased police presence and heightened security. We will remain in regular contact with the police. All classes and daily activities are proceeding as normal. Thank you for your attention, understanding and support in this matter.
