Students in grades pre-K through five at Lido School recently stepped outdoors and explored the world of literature during a bright autumn day in the Lido Habitat.
In honor of the seasonal celebration, sponsored by the PTA, students and teachers came to school in costume. Prekindergarten children dressed up as their favorite storybook characters and marched in a parade for an audience of parents and older peers. In the serene courtyard setting overlooking the Lido Habitat pond, all grades were treated to a fall-themed story read by a PTA volunteer.
Following the festivities, each student received a craft and was able to pick a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch to take home.
